Owls First Flight

  The night felt electric, as I stretched out of  my nest I did  not know that it was night time but I knew that it was time to fly. I was  thrilled  because tonight is when I prepare to fly for the first time. I asked my mother if it was time for me to be free but mother, as she always says ‘’not yet son go back to sleep.’’ So I do my usual and daily routine of staying in the tree all by myself while mother leaves the cozy nest, hunting for food. As I wait for my mother I ask myself, ‘’ when will I be ready to fly’’ as I keep wondering while I’m in this old mossy tree.
Mother is too scared to let me fly by her side she fears the predators that roam the full moon at night she’s afraid that I could get struck down before i’ve even learnt how to defend myself, Mother goes alone because she knows the blind spots of the forest like the back of her feathers as she can also fly in silence, mothers eyes are really sharp she sees predators that roam around miles away.
As I look over the nest, I hover over the old mossy branch. as I stand firmly ready to release my wings, but when I look down anxiety takes over and I get chills down my spine. As I keep looking down at the very  big forest but something changes, I hear my mother cheering me on saying ‘’you got this Blink!’’ And suddenly my mind changes from being scared and nervous. I flare my wings getting ready for take off.
All of a sudden, I’m off the branch. I don’t feel my legs touching the branch anymore. I feel amazed, I couldn’t believe that I am right here gliding through the wind. I gained confidence because of my mother cheering me on, lesson learnt, never be afraid of chasing your dreams.

In ls2 we made a dlo about a story which is called a owls frist flight. we learned about 1st person and 2nd and 3d person. we talk about how it would be like living in a tree and not flying at all. we put details in our words.

Tech

In ls2 we went to tech and learned about maori parttens we learned about how to show our feeling in parrtens as you can see the picture on top of this text you can see me doing my parttens on how i show my feelings in parttens. as we go deeper we get to learn on how to make parttens.

Diary

In 1942 it was the time when Germany was taking over the jewish and begging them to be gone. Many jewish were alive or were taken to the factory of slaves. As many jewish were taken there was this little girl named Anne Frank and she tells us about the life of hiding from the Germans in an Annex. In 1942 Anne Frank tells us about life in an annex and eating and hiding was very hard. As we explore more about Anne Frank, one thing she tells us is about the outside.

Outside.

Anne Frank tells about what it is like outside and tells us how many people lose their lives Outside. She tells us about how terrible things happen outside. She says that she sees many people getting dragged out of their houses and babies crying screaming adults crying for help and people getting shot on the spot.

We made a dlo about the treaty of waitgi. as  you may or not know about the treaty ofr waitgi we learn about how this was a special day for many people. we also learn about how the maoris  trusted the white people and how they go tricked
